Ronnie’s Stash was born out of a heartfelt mission – to provide dogs with the finest American-made tug toys of unmatched quality. Let us share with you the story behind our passionate endeavor.
In 2021, we welcomed Ronnie, a German Shepherd imported from Czechoslovakia, into our lives. Ronnie was specially chosen to serve as a service K9, offering invaluable support to her handler, aiding in PTSD and anxiety relief.
During the early days of their journey together, we discovered Ronnie’s deep love for playing tug and how it remarkably contributed to her handler’s well-being and tranquility.
After trying numerous store-bought fire hose tugs, we realized that they fell short of our expectations. Determined to provide the best for Ronnie and her furry companions, we took matters into our own hands. We sourced out-of-use fire hoses and acquired a leather hand crank sewing machine to fashion our own tugs.
However, we soon became aware that despite thorough cleaning, remnants of smoke and chemicals persisted in the reclaimed fire hose, posing a health risk to both humans and animals. This realization led us to forge a partnership with a reputable fire hose manufacturer, enabling us to procure brand-new, never-before-used fire hoses specifically for our tugs.
As we continued on this path, we discovered that Ronnie’s love for tugs ran deeper than mere play. She developed a habit of stashing her beloved tugs in various spots around the house and yard. Inspired by Ronnie’s endearing behavior, Ronnie’s Stash was born.
Our tugs are meticulously crafted using heavy-duty rubber enveloped in a durable polyester exterior. For handles, we utilize resilient rescue webbing with an impressive 4,000lb break strength. Employing heavy-duty nylon thread, we securely sew handles on each end, complemented by a poly fill stuffing that ensures both durability and comfort.
Today, we proudly offer the highest-quality, handcrafted tugs on the market. Our products have found homes across the United States and in numerous countries worldwide, serving not only individual pet owners but also local, state, and federal canine units throughout the nation.
